Microsoft Office Setup Targets iPad with the low-price Surface tablets

As indicated by the Bloomberg reports Microsoft is anticipating contend with iPad cost by propelling a portion of the new Surface tablets by 2018 mid-year. The point is to take some show of Apple’s piece of the overall industry.

Microsoft is guaranteeing to dispatch at $400 that accompanies 10-inch shows with the adjusted edge cases, USB-C ports, nine hours battery life, and 20% lighter bodies than the more established models like Surface Pro and I Pads.

On March, Apple then again, propelled another variant of the $329 iPad with the speedier processor and Pencil stylus bolster. Also, $329 iPad has helped up iPad deals that has altogether expanded ever it got discharged a year ago. Macintosh has conceded that 9.7 inch tablet is their well known iPad.

Microsoft will be giving a tough competition to the Apple and the new Surfaces will have the new keyboard cover which Apple lacks. Apple doesn’t sell its own keyboard cover for the entry-level iPad as well as lacks in Smart Connector.

Instead it relies on the third-parties like Logitech with the Bluetooth keyboard cases that cost around $100. Apple Pencil costs $99 and Logitech is going to release at the end of this year, Crayon stylus to education markets that costs around $49.

There is also something which Microsoft should bother about is there tablets aren’t getting acknowledged from the reviewers and there is also possibility of platform war. The new Surface devices will run on Windows 10 Pro that lacks in touch-friendly apps which iOS devices ‘App Store’ provides to their customers.

Google along with the third-party hardware brands seems to be joining the queue, this year by shifting its focus from Android to Chrome OS for the tablets.  And there is a bundle of interesting options from HP and Acer.

On 4th June, Apple will host its WWDC keynote that will reveal their next major OS updates- iOS 12, Mac OS 10.14, Watch OS 5, and tv OS 12. Still there will lot more updates coming on the way of both phones and tablets, iPad specific features which includes UI screen updates that has reportedly pushed back to iOS 13.

Remove incorrectly spelled words from the custom dictionary | Office.com/setup

As a matter of course, Office 2003 offers an implicit custom word reference that gives you a chance to store terms and names that would somehow get hailed as unrecognized amid a spell check. Word and PowerPoint offer foundation spell-checking, so you should simply right-tap on a hailed term (wavy red line) and pick Add To Dictionary from the alternate route menu. Exceed expectations and Outlook expect you to run the spell checker yourself. When they experience an unrecognized term, they’ll open the Spelling discourse box and give you the choice to add the term to the custom lexicon. In any case, the term will arrive in Custom.dic, the default custom word reference document, and every one of the applications will disregard the term when they go over it once more.

Now and then, however, you may incidentally add an incorrectly spelled term to the custom word reference. For example, you may accidentally mistype an organization name or some new piece of language and add it to the word reference before you get your misstep. A word reference with incorrect spellings in it is to some degree counterproductive, so it’s a smart thought to go in and expel them when they sneak in. In spite of the fact that Excel and PowerPoint 2003 let you add words to the common lexicon, you need to utilize Word (or Outlook) to adjust the word reference document. Here are the means for doing this in Word:

Go to Tools | Options, tap on the Spelling and Grammar tab, and tap the Custom Dictionaries catch. (Figure A).

In the Custom Dictionaries discourse box (Figure B), ensure CUSTOM.DIC (default) is chosen in the Dictionary List and snap Modify.

At the point when the CUSTOM.DIC discourse box opens (Figure C), find the incorrectly spelled word in the Dictionary list box, select it, and snap Delete.

To supplant the term with the right form, simply type it in the Word content box and snap Add (Figure D). When you’re done, leave all exchange boxes by clicking OK.

Outlook 2003

On the off chance that you need to alter the custom word reference utilizing Outlook, simply pick Options from the fundamental Tools menu and tap the Spelling tab, as appeared in Figure E. Under Edit Custom Dictionary, click Edit. Standpoint will then open the custom word reference as a content document (Figure F).

What about Office 2007?

The Office 2007 applications all help altering the custom lexicon. Furthermore, Outlook 2007 (which now offers foundation spell-checking in messages) incorporates an alternative to get to the custom lexicon record in a somewhat more exquisite path than by means of content document.

In all the applications, you simply tap the Office catch and pick the Options charge at the base of the menu.

Pick Proofing from the sheet of classes on the left (Figure G).

Snap Custom Dictionaries to open the exchange enclose indicated Figure H.

Snap Edit Word List to open the CUSTOM.DIC exchange box (Figure I).

From that point, it works the same as Office 2003 — with the exception of that there’s a Delete All choice at this point. I figure that is in the event that you go on a drinking spree and figure out how to top off the whole lexicon record with incorrectly spelled words.

Updates to Microsoft Officecom/setup 365 Secure Score

We have gotten a ton of criticism from the Tech Community on the best way to improve Secure Score and it is enormously refreshing by the group. While exploring your criticism and input from different associations, a couple of solicitations were coming up consistently. Some of what we have heard is around the normal score that you can look at yours against. What’s more, we heard that figuring out what security controls had changed and impacted the score where difficult to find. Today we are cheerful to share that we are adding several upgrades to Secure Score to help with this.

Many of you like the idea that you can compare your score to the average score of all Office 365 tenants. However, some have concerns about the relevance of this to your organization. Based on this feedback we have a new average for you to compare against. The average seat size score shows you a score based on organizations that have a similar number of Office 365 active seats. There are seven seat size groups that we put everyone in, 0-5, 6-99, 100-249, 250-999, 1,000-4,999, 5,000-19,999, and 20,000+. For example, if you have 1200 active seats of Office 365 we will show the average score of other tenants that have active seats between 1,000 and 4,999.

Coming soon we will present an industry normal score, this will demonstrate to you how your score analyzes to different associations that have assigned a similar industry in Secure Score or the Service Assurance page of the Security and Compliance Center.

Another upgrade we are including is around making it less demanding to discover how your score changed between two dates and what the effect was. Already you needed to tap on hold chart in the Score Analyzer tab to pick your date and after that take a screenshot or attempt to recollect what activities were finished as you tapped on another date in the line diagram. To make this correlation simpler, we have included a “Look at scores” alternative to the Score Analyzer tab.

comparedates1.png

Clicking this will allow you to select two dates that you would like to compare the scores on. Upon choosing the dates you will get a list of what controls changed between those dates, and whether the result caused an increase or decrease in the score.

comparedates2.png

Along the lines of making things easier, we know that finding controls in the action list can be a challenge when the list is long. To help find controls faster we are introducing a search field for the action queue. By typing characters in this field, we will filter down the view list to help you navigate to the actions faster.

And finally the reporting actions have had an overhaul. The reports in Azure have under gone a significant optimization in terms of making them easier to consume and more relevant. Previously when using the Azure classic portal there was a direct report and corresponding Secure Score control for that report. Under the new Azure Portal these reports have been consolidated. This blog post explains how the new mapping works and what the previous reports now map to.

Secure Score has been updated accordingly allowing us to reduce the number of Azure report controls to two (whilst still allowing the same points total). These updated controls now take you to the updated Azure Portal.

If you want to check out all these new features, head over to https://securescore.office.com now. As always thanks for all the feedback and keep it coming!
